Adult Social Care Daisy Training 1 (March 2018)Adult social care (Daisy Training) (March 2018

The Quality team from Stockport Borough Council Adult Social care Department attended a Dignity awareness session which took place on the 12th March in Stockport Town Hall. The Quality team are working towards the Daisy Accreditation – they are the first team in the Borough Council to undertake the Accreditation.

The adult social care Quality team monitors, maintains and improves the quality of social care commissioned in Stockport.
We’re always happy to receive feedback from people who use services, their families or their representatives and also from staff who work in health and social care.
Where we find that something is working really well, we will tell other care providers about it. We also make sure local providers know about national best practice, and new standards and guidelines for improving the quality of care.
If you have a concern or complaint about the quality of care we always recommend that you speak to the care provider first. In the majority of cases they will be able to resolve the matter.
If you are still not happy, the Quality Team will respond promptly and advise you. More information about how to complain is available on My Care My Choice.

The Quality Team works with providers to monitor maintain and support providers to improve their services.
We work closely with colleagues from the safeguarding service. This ensures that we help keep vulnerable adults safe by following Stockport’s All Agency Safeguarding Adult Policy at all times.
If you’re worried about your own safety, or the safety of someone you know, contact us for information and advice about what to do.
